I cried like a baby. Everything was so painful and I ached for Knight who was just. Wow. I was rooting for him and Luna from the start and everything that kept them apart made me so angry. Getting Dean‘s and Rosie‘s perspective really devastated me. I was such a wreck especially bc they were voiced by the same narrators as in Ruckus. God. The smut was insane if with slightly dubious consent but Knight always understanding Luna made up for that. It’s not an easy read but so so worth it!
CJ Bloom and Jacob Morgan are some of my favorite narrators, too so I thoroughly enjoyed this.

the nicest voices

Nach den tollen Rezensionen über dieses Buch habe ich mich sehr darauf gefreut. Vielleicht konnte ich auch die Figuren nicht vollständig verstehen, weil ich die Bücher über die Eltern der Hauptdarsteller nicht gelesen habe. Für meinen Teil war ich sehr schnell vom Hin und Her der beiden Protagonisten genervt. Außerdem habe ich Licht verstanden was genau an Knight Cole so gut und liebenswürdig sein soll. Die meiste Zeit verhält er sich auch nach seiner eigenen Einschätzung wie ein Idiot. Die Tragik des Todes von Rosie wird sehr dick aufgetragen im dem Buch. Und auch wenn ich den Wunsch einer sterbenden Frau verstehen kann, welche ihrem Ehemann eine weitere Beziehung mach ihrem Tod wünscht, finde ich es sehr anmaßend und unrealistisch, dass sie dafür die biologische Mutter ihres Adoptivsohnes aussucht.
Alles in allem musste ich das Buch beenden, da ich das Happy Ending brauche nach all dem Drama. Aber genau das war das Zwischenstück für mich: enervierendes Drama.
