This is not more nor less than the Cinderella story with bridgerton names. And for that it's painfully long dragged out.

As our favorite gossip author would say: I so do love a happy ending! It’s amazing how Julia Quinn manages to spin the same idea into a new individual story every time. I’m addicted to this series and especially the reading of Rosalyn Landor, she is absolutely amazing!!

Loveable characters (main and side!), well developed story and backgrounds, perfectly paced love story - PLUS mystery enshrouding the main character. Loved the world building, where the story was set, and all the little details. Couldn’t stop listening and finished in a few days.

I really liked to listen to the speaker and that Benedict was willing to marry Sophie although he thought her to be a servant.

long and boring!
Well, for somebody who just adores Jane Austen, probably it is normal to react in such way on Julia Quinn stories.
Though I must add, that those of the stories of the Bridgerton siblings, which I allready read, I did like in some or other way.
But this story annoyed me extremely. I just hated Sophie, and Benedikt ... just horrible...

in a way - very disappointing

I really enjoyed the first 2 books, especially the second (Anthony’s and Kate’s story).
This on the other hand from tue onset was just Cinderella, with the beautiful evil stepmother and sister. It’s dragged pretty soon. I skipped the middle to listen to the last few chapters and is t feel like I missed anything. I actually enjoyed the epilogues more than the actually book.

I do love the Bridgerton stories. But this one is so far the least original one. Still a good listen to, but not as good as the first two books

that is now the third book I have read feom Julia quinn and this Story somehow wasn't catching for me. I like it much more when there is more spice between the two main characters this was too soft from the Start.
