Die Story ist so la-la, aber die Beschreibungen, vor allem der Landschaft und der verschiedenen Menschen, macht diesen Krimi durchaus hörenswert! Da verzeiht man euch das Aufspringen auf den Zug der klassisch-gruseligen Horrorgeschichte aus dem Krankenhaus Milieu..

spannend: ein sehr gelungener forensischer krimi, der aber mehr ist als nur eine moerderjagd und die dazugehoerige hintergrundsarbeit der gerichtsmedizin. personen, schauplaetze, motive -- man meint man sei mittendrin und das bis zum schluss.
hoerenswert: besonders gut hat mir bei dieser vertonung die stimme der sprecherin gefallen, die den usa-suedstaaten dialekt so eindrucksvoll vermitteln konnte!

Abgesehen davon, dass mir bislang Katherine Borowitz am besten gefallen hat und sie vielleicht auch schwer zu übertreffen ist, muss ich sagen, dass ich trotz intensivster Bemühungen, dieser Stimme nicht folgen kann. Die Stimmlage variiert höchst selten und Emotionen, Personenwechsel, etc. sind recht schwer nachzuvollziehen. Oft kommt es mir so vor, als wollte mich Frau Berryman in Hypnose versetzen, was dazu führt, dass ich wenigstens immer gut einschlafen kann. Insofern kann ich inhaltlich recht wenig zu dem Buch sagen!
Schade, da ich sonst ein echter Kathy Reichs-Fan bin!
