Klar - man muss schon englisch können, um hier mitzukommen. Aber man kann sich gut in die Sprache hineinhören - und ein Buch direkt vom Autor vorgelesen zu bekommen, ist immer von Vorteil. Wer weiß besser, wie es gemeint ist? Und die Stimme von Stuart MacBride ist angenehm, die Aussprache ist klar, der manchmal notwendige Dialekt witzig und die Betonung ist lebendig - er macht also alles richtig.
Stuart MacBride schreibt irre spannend, sein Buch hat eine unglaubliche Vielzahl von (glaubwürdigen) Charakteren, hat überraschende Entwicklungen, Humor; ein wenig Grausamkeit, Ahnung von Psychologie, ein großes Herz für seine Heimat Aberdeen und ... erwähnte ich schon jede Menge Spannung? Ein Buch zum Immer-weiter-hören, da beißt man sich auch gerne durch vielleicht noch unbekannte Vokabeln!
Auch die anderen Bücher sind empfehlenswert, besonders eben die von dem Autor selbst gelesenen.
