Ich habe mich noch nie bei einem Hörbuch so sehr gelangweilt wie bei diesem hier. Die Queerness der Protagonisten hat letztlich nichts mit der Handlung des Buches zu tun. Hier wird stattdessen stundenlang in epischer Breite die Modalitäten, Vorbereitung und Durchführung einer Wahl zum Senior Class President an einer amerikanischen Highschool abgehandelt. Die Personen bleiben dabei blass und oberflächlich. Die Geschichte tröpfelt leider ohne richtigen Spannungsbogen vor sich hin. Es ist höchst anstrengend der Geschichte zu folgen. Spaß macht das alles nicht.
Mein Urteil lautet: rausgeworfenes Geld und verschwendete Lebenszeit. Nicht kaufen!
