When the richest man in Big Lake is murdered on the night he announces his bid for state senator, the list of suspects stretches all the way from the small mountain town to the governor's office.
Sheriff Jim Weber's investigation reveals a web of secrets, illicit sex, and shattered lives that teaches him that nothing is what it appears to be and that sometimes the people we think we know are not at all what we believe them to be. Meanwhile love has come to town, and wedding bells must compete with the echo of gunshots.
Many of the characters that made the first four Big Lake books so popular are back along with some new ones listeners will remember for a long time.
One reviewer has referred to the Big Lake mystery series as "Mayberry meets Twin Peaks." It's a combination of humor and intrigue that launched author Nick Russell's first Big Lake book into Amazon's Top 100 Paid Kindle books for over 78 days, and Big Lake Scandal, the fifth book in this popular series, is sure to be a hit too!
