Über diesen Titel

Jenna O'Conner is not human, nor is she considered the norm for the supernatural Other community that is benevolent enough to share this world with the humans. On her first day as a member of the Wilmington Police Department's SWAT Team, Jenna runs into trouble in the form of a deadly, mouthwatering man named Adam McPhee, who is also not human. He is determined to figure out exactly what Jenna is, which could very well put her life in danger. Furthermore, he is determined to have her all to himself.

As if that weren't enough for Jenna to deal with, a group of extremist Shifters who consider humans to be cattle and who think that factions of Others should stay within their own species - never to intermingle - come to town. Jenna has to find a way to shut them down, but in the process of trying to do that, she discovers things about herself that even she had never thought were possible. Contains mature themes.

Was genau hat Sie an Big Bad Bite enttäuscht?
The reader has a nice voice, generally. But ruins it all while reading the male dialogs. In an attempt to make the male voices sexy and deep she completely overdoes it. Imitating the heroes male voice, she lowers it so much, that she literally starts whispering. (I'm sure it should be sexy, but it isn't!) And because it is so low, she also needs to reduce the speed of speaking. As a result, instead of giving the impression of a sexy, strong, powerful man, I get an image of a half dead man, calling out of his grave. So “gostwhisperer” is a more suitable way to describe the voice. And I can tell you, that after having listened to it for several hours, it is more than annoying in the long run, For me this ruins it all! The story itself I would have loved, it's interesting with sudden turns. But again the way it is told, is rather superficial, without depth and gives the impression, that this book only consists of sexmaniacs. So if you love highly sexual (at the edge of being vulgar) dialogues, are not bothered by a rather raw, simple language and are able to ignore the unnerving voice then you might love this book.
