As the Minnesota Senate Majority Leader, Paul Gazelka had an unparalleled vantage point on Governor Tim Walz's leadership failures. In Behind the Veil, Gazelka exposes the critical missteps of Walz's tenure, from the faltering response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the chaotic handling of the George Floyd riots to the troubled management of the state budget.
This compelling political memoir offers a candid look at Gazelka's daily struggles with Walz's leadership and sheds light on the broader implications for our political landscape. Gazelka’s insights extend beyond critique to a powerful call for a leadership style that champions respect, empathy, and dedication to the common good.
As Walz steps onto the national stage, Gazelka's firsthand account serves as a crucial reminder of his leadership deficiencies. Behind the Veil not only critiques past failures but also advocates for a future where leadership is defined by strength, clarity, and genuine commitment.
