Not a bad book but didn’t meet my expectations

I started this “romance” book with high expectations according to the high ratings. However, I found the book not much romantic but more dramatic. I couldn’t connect much with the characters as the author didn’t give enough background or description before diving into the events, I couldn’t imagine their visual features because again the author did a weak job on that. This resulted in mostly confusion/neutral feelings over god feelings when it came to romantic/sexy parts. The story was kinda predictable and somehow all over the place. The narration was nice though with all the voices and actings, but I think it could be with a slower pace, I had to decrease the pace of the audio so that it gives me time to imagine the scenes and savor them.

Amazing!

I so loved this book! What a great story, you fall in love with the characters immediately. The narrator told the story so wonderful, I laughed out loud and I cried and was so deeply touched. For me this is a story about love, but not only between two persons, but about living life to the fullest, and daring to love to the fullest. And about the love we have for our parents. And of course about the love of books, both writing and reading. Which makes it perfect. Thank you for this book. I am so very grateful.

Fun story and good narration

Book I didn’t know I needed so much in my life!

It was witty and interesting and at some point couldn’t stop listening to the story as I was curious as to what was going to happen next.
The narrator is also great.

Towards the end...

I absolutely loved the first 2/3 of the story. Unfortunately this book suffered from what many romance novels do... when it seems that the story might end too early, throw in a hefty dose of not just miscommunication, but maybe even no communication at all, because suddenly the female protagonist has to be kind of an insecure little b***h... I actually liked that while she had issued, she didn't let that get in the way - until eventually she did.
So... could have been better, but I did mostly enjoy it.

Schönes Buch.

Schöne Romanze. Hat gut getan dieses Buch zu hören. Es war auch einige Male ziemlich unerwartet emotional. :) Die Sprecherin war übrigens top. Total angenehme Stimme!

Easy, funny, beautiful

This book was something i didnt expect. I love that the characters are writers and how the book changes ypur perspective on life. An easy read (nothing heavy), very funny and beautiful!!!

alle Beschreibungen klingen nach RomKom.
Aber das ist es nicht.
Nicht wirklich.
Viel tiefer.
Viel dunkler.
Gaaaanz anders.

UND: das Ende ist anders als im Buch.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich DAS so gut finde ...

Worth reading

Would definitely recommend reading. Sweet but also thoughtful. I enjoyed the narrator just as much as when I listened to her in Book Lovers.

It was great! :)

I started the audiobook Friday after work and finished it Saturday evening. I had my earphones in nearly all the time and did everything while listening to the story. Cooking, cleaning, Shopping... You name it.
The voice of the speaker is nice to listen to and she really did a great job here.
The story does not focus as much on the romance as the description might suggest and I really liked that aspect since I hoped it wouldn't be to cheesy. But the story focuses more on the development of the characters and how your environment makes you into the person you are. I really loved this aspect and therefor I give 5 stars for the story. Although I mentioned that there is not too much romance we get a nice love story, great dialogues and chemistry between the characters and brilliant insides on how communication can be difficult sometimes.
All in all I really enjoyed listening to it. :)

Great book!

I loved every minute of this book. It is funny at times, but also serious and witty. It shows how writers can overcome writers block and how people get to know each other better. How relationships evolve and how two separate lifes become one. I liked the voice reading it, too. The woman did a very good job with the different characters. I could always tell which voice is which person, that was amazing! Thank you, for this amazing piece of literature! I will definetly listen to it again.
