After waking up, Steve doesn't know where he is. Heck, he doesn't know what he is. Despite his spotty memory, he's pretty sure he didn't used to be a floating ball of light.

He's also certain that he's not originally from this dangerous fantasy world...maybe. Okay, fairly certain. To make things stranger, he seems to be involved in something big, something magical...a game.

Who was he before? Will his memories come back? Why does he have an assistant explaining the game's rules to him?

He can evolve? There's a countdown timer?

One thing Steve does know is that he needs to figure out what's going on fast, and if he is playing a game, even a deadly one, he plans to win.

Die Geschichte wird vom Sprecher gut wiedergegeben, kommt aber leider in der Tonlage wie ein Märchenbuch für Kinder an.
Die Geschichte ist Intressant, aber wiederholt immer wieder die selben Statitiken und wird an den Stellen langweilig.
Den Charakteren fehlt es an Tiefe und bestimmte Antagonisten werde ausfürlich beschrieben, nur um gleich wieder zu verschwinden.

The story is not bad with some interesting ideas but is too slow and amateurish. constant repeating of the same table where a simple sentence would be far enough, a sometimes strange stupid mc (leaving town direct bevore an announced battle) and way too much trivia at the wrong times (for example explaning society structures during a battle). The Flow of the story is too inconsistent and there are big jumps in the story without explaing what happened. multiple times i thought "and whats going on with that now? what happened?" i cannot recommend a 9h story possibly fitting in 5h for standard audible price. maybe as cheap ebook where it is easy too skip some things its ok.
