What happens when the passion that defined your life for over three decades no longer aligns with the person you are becoming?
In this deeply personal episode, I open up about one of the biggest leaps of faith I’ve ever taken: stepping away from ballroom dancing after 20 years of teaching and 30+ years of dedication. While dance was once a blessing, my journey into Torah study and spiritual growth revealed a painful truth—what I was cultivating on the dance floor was actively contradicting what was nourishing my soul.
In this episode, I share:
- The Ego & The Stage: How the competitive world of dance quietly fostered unwanted traits like arrogance, pride, and over-competitiveness—and how I realized it was feeding my ego, not my spirit.
- Tzniut (Modesty) & Alignment: Why the culture and expectations of ballroom dance were no longer conducive to living a life of modesty, dignity, and Torah values.
- The Courage to Let Go: Why change is not a loss, but an elevation. If something no longer resonates with your spiritual growth, it is okay—and necessary—to release it.
- Finding True Joy: How making the leap of faith away from the spotlight freed my time and energy for higher, more fulfilling spiritual endeavors.
Releasing something you loved for decades can be terrifying, but peace awaits on the other side of alignment. I hope my story inspires you to honor your own growth and trust where your soul is calling you next.
