What happens when an entire generation of children grows up with unlimited access to pornography, social media, and distorted messages about sex, power, and masculinity? And are we overlooking the deeper issues behind some of the most disturbing sexual misconduct cases making headlines today? In this powerful conversation, Coach Frank Rich welcomes back Natasha Nascimento, founder of Redefining Refuge and a leading advocate for children affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking. With over 16 years on the front lines of child advocacy, Natasha exposes the realities most parents misunderstand about trafficking, the growing dangers of online grooming, and why early exposure to pornography deserves a much bigger conversation. Together, Frank and Natasha examine recent high-profile sexual misconduct allegations, the influence of the manosphere and figures like Andrew Tate, and how entitlement, objectification, and distorted ideas about masculinity can shape the way young people view sex and relationships. They also explore the connection between childhood experiences, shame, power, and control—and why true transformation requires more than simply changing behavior. In this episode, you'll discover: Why child sex trafficking rarely looks the way most people imagine. How smartphones, social media, and online grooming expose children to hidden risks. Why early pornography exposure raises important questions about developing attitudes toward sexuality and intimacy. What recent high-profile sexual misconduct cases reveal about the need for accountability, prevention, and healthier sexual education. How the manosphere can blur the line between masculine empowerment and entitlement. The difference between genuine intimacy and treating another person as an object. How understanding childhood experiences and shame can support meaningful personal transformation. Why parents must identify their children's vulnerabilities before someone else exploits them. What ordinary people can do to help protect vulnerable children. Despite the seriousness of these issues, Natasha offers a powerful message of hope, sharing the extraordinary resilience of the children she serves and why she refuses to give up fighting for them. This isn't just a conversation about protecting children. It's about the responsibility we all have to shape the next generation—and the kind of men, parents, and leaders we're becoming. About Natasha Nascimento Natasha Nascimento is the Founder and Executive Director of Redefining Refuge, a Tampa Bay-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting, advocating for, and supporting children impacted by sexual exploitation and trafficking. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Natasha eventually moved to the United States, earning her bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. After discovering that children affected by commercial sexual exploitation were being treated as criminals rather than victims, Natasha left a successful career in finance to pursue a mission of advocacy, protection, and systemic change. In 2010, she founded Redefining Refuge, which went on to establish one of Tampa Bay's first specialized therapeutic safe-house programs for trafficked girls. The organization later expanded its approach to provide comprehensive, individualized services for vulnerable and exploited children, including case management, access to therapeutic care, educational support, community resources, and advocacy. Throughout her career, Natasha has worked alongside community organizations, law enforcement, and policymakers to improve protections for children. Her advocacy has included efforts to change Florida legislation, strengthen survivor-centered services, and educate communities about the realities of child trafficking. For her contributions, she has received the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation's Lightning Community Hero Award and the DeBartolo Family Foundation's Spirit of Humanity Award. Guided by her faith and an unwavering commitment to children's dignity, Natasha continues to challenge misconceptions, advocate for legislative reform, and fight for a future in which vulnerable children are protected, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives.
