Secrets hidden in the annals of history are being unearthed.

Over a year has passed since Zac stepped onto the Left Imperial Expanse, a vast continent hidden by the Limitless Empire. The Outer Courts are opening their gates, setting the stage for the next phase of the trial. Inside, unfathomable opportunities await the fated ones.

The forces of the multiverse are gathered outside, not knowing the empire has plans of its own. The line between past and present is blurred as ancient schemes are set into motion. Seizing fate without being entangled in the Emperor's web is easier said than done. Zac must navigate the threads of history, all while dealing with the wrath of a vengeful god.

Destiny is written by the survivors.

I really like the recap at the beginning. Overall the limitless empire is very interesting and how the system was made. I can't remember which sealbearer is at what court, but I guess it isn't important. It's a very long book, but it feels short.

Good as usual

As the books progress the story is turning more and more into a perpetual stream of infodumps without much of an overarching narrative structure or payoffs. It doesn't help that the mountain of obscure concepts just keeps piling up: imperial destiny, regular destiny, imperial faith, regular faith, fantasy, killing intent, karmic debt, the four laws, the continuum, the terminus, the 8 hells, the 9 gardens, the 5 pillars, the mercurial court and the list goes on and on and on.
80% of characters and plots take place in illusionary memories that are probably not real but maybe a little bit real (?) so the stakes are always confusing. The main character is in two different places at once and is assuming constantly rotating identities on both ends.
Maybe i'm just stupid but the last few books had my head spinning.
I'm looking forward to the summary at the start of the next book telling me what actually happened in this one...

Getting a bit tedious

I love the series, the ideas, the creativity, but lately it’s getting more and more confusing. Also it feels like going nowhere right now. Couldn’t even finish it. Sorry!

Unfortunately not the best

As always, a great book. Still my favorite series, but I would've loved some more Iz Tayn or stories from the perspective of some of the Supremacies.

Great as always

I was listening to all the books so far, and it got more and more troublesome to follow. Seriously, WTF did you smoke?? I can't believe it's the same writer as the first book. The last book was already difficult, but this one is next level.

WTF??
