It's full of action, revenge, and five dark and damaged love interests that the FMC will not have to choose between. It contains adult themes and bad-language throughout, which some listeners may find upsetting.

The audiobook runs for roughly 15 hours, yet any truly meaningful plot development only occurs within the final portion of the story. For most of the book, very little actually happens. The protagonist experiences minor events and then spends extensive amounts of time discussing, analyzing, and reflecting on information that the reader already knows.
Important conversations are constantly delayed or avoided, while every decision and thought process is dissected in excessive detail. This becomes exhausting because the same topics are revisited repeatedly without adding new insights.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that the story was clearly at a point where major revelations and discoveries were overdue. Instead, almost no significant answers are provided. It feels as though the events that will hopefully take place in the fourth book could – and probably should – have happened in this one.
The relationships between the characters continue to develop, but at a very slow pace, and the main plot advances just as slowly. In the end, this book adds very little to the overall story and feels more like a lengthy bridge between books than a meaningful continuation of the series.
A real shame, because the underlying story still has a lot of potential.
