however i did NOT appreciate the finale of this book. the big revelation has been rather obvious for a while, so i dont mind that at all. what i do mind is being robbed entirely of something else that makes vampire romance specifically alluring - for no reason at all. none. exactly zero. I'm quite sure we could have gone to the second book no problem without what happened.
i feel entirely cheated because honestly raphael is doing his best. trying to do right by her. and i feel so mad on his behalf especially with her final resolution being what it is before the book cuts off.
it feels forced and i dont understand how she could come to that conclusion knowing what she knows at that point. it's bad enough to cost two stars despite 95% of the book being 5* worthy. completely lost me there.
