I was totally caught off guard 😂 really good story with some interesting twists and plots! The characters were great and the speakers did a really good job!

Bestes Buch, das ich seit langem gelesen und dann direkt danach noch einmal gehört habe. Nur zu empfehlen! Die Figuren, die Plots, die Welt...alles total toll gestaltet und durchdacht!

Beste Buch-Reihe im Fantasy-Bereich!

Während der 1. Band ein 5 Sterne "read" ist, kann der 2. Band leider nicht mehr mithalten, obwohl die Spannung zum Ende wieder anzieht. Friends to Lovers/ saviour to lovers ist eben echt schwierig, obwohl es mega gelesen ist, konnte das "Gefühl" für mich nicht transportiert werden. Und dann das allergrößte Manko: ein Haufen Toddlers/Kleinkinder, die sämtliche FMCs und Nebendarsteller zu Mutterhennen mutieren lassen und mit 5 Jahren erstaunlich belastbar, extrem eloquent und mit einem Mindset eher so wie die 5 Freunde von Enid Blyton daher kommen. Das fing im 1. Band an und steigert sich nach meinem empfinden an die Grenze des unerträglichen..
Wenn es nicht die Fortsetzung gewesen wäre, extrem gut gelesen, und die Grundgeschichte so gut gewesen wäre, war ich nichtsdestotrotz ein paar mal kurz davor wegen der Kinder auszusteigen... ich hoffe, das reguliert sich wieder im 3. Band

Like the first book, you need to keep your patience with the story and its timelines, as it builds up slowly once again. The secrets gradually come to light. At one point, I had a hunch, but the ending and the cliffhanger still surprised me a bit. I still think some characters could have died to make the story more impactful.

I am looking forward to the last book.
When it comes to the voice acting, I was initially unsure about the additional female character, but she turned out to be perfect in the end.

I still cannot understand why the male voice actor chose to use lumberjack-deep tones for existing characters. Ransom’s voice was not particularly good in the first audiobook, but it was strangely changed here. But that is just my personal taste, I suppose. He simply sounded much older and somehow bulky in this one—not as witty, sleek, funny, or teasing as before. This might work for the new male character, but not for Ransom. Maybe it is the influence of Lyssa and the exhaustion?

Anyway, Odessa’s voice actor carries the story brilliantly.
