Welcome to Nocturne Falls - the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and now...private investigator. Sort of. When she buys a sealed box at an estate sale and cat-related circumstances cause that box to be opened, life in Nocturne Falls starts to go haywire. Jayne has no choice but to figure out what she unleashed and how to recapture it. But Jayne suspects the woman behind the box is hiding something. Something that could cause a town resident serious trouble. Or worse, to lose their life. With the help of her two favorite guys, a sexy vampire and a hot summer elf, and a few new friends, Jayne tackles what feels like an impossible mission. And winds up almost iced herself.

It has everything I look for in a good book: a plot that keeps you thinking, “Just one more chapter, and then I’ll take a break,” and an exceptionally good narrator.

I just love the storyline and the speaker!

Amazing second book! The storyline is funny and just as good as the first one. You get to know more of the town people and the romantic scenes carry on.

I enjoyed it very much and can't decide if I listen Jaynes book 3 or The Vampires Mailorder Bride.

Snowballs! This book ended to soon!

I love the idea behind this series, I love the characters and the lighthearted style with the mix of romance and mystery. Just like the first installment, this is an entertaining book. Unfortunately, the narrator ruins everything for me. First, because she drags the syllables in a way which is meant to be unique or charming, but grates on my nerves only. Second, she decided to give every character his unique voice and fails, as she manages only a squeaky female and a husky male one (okay, and one for the cat) - which irritates the hell out of me.
I did not finish the audiobook and will try to find my enthusiasm for the series again by reading.

Charming story
