I read the books bevor listening to the Audiobooks, and I knew what was coming. So...I still don't like Shane East trying to sound like a girl while talking for Tessa, and the story itself got it's ups and downs, but nevertheless it's one of my favorites and I like to hear it over and over again... addicted I am :-)

Loved that it is kept in the Storytelling mode between the two protagonists. It just adds a lot to the hearing experience.

Very intense story and lots of turmoil

Ich habe mir alle Hörbücher dieser Reihe inklusive Before in Englisch angehört. Zugegeben, habe ich keine Vergleichswerte da dies meine ersten Erfahrungen mit Hörbücher waren. Die Bücher habe ich davor gelesen und zähle mich zu dieser After Fangruppe. Gute Geschichten fesseln mich schnell und ich zähle zu den leidenschaftlichen Leserinnen die sich mit den Protagonisten freut, weint, flucht, trauert..... eben mit all den Emotionen. Anfangs war ich irritiert wenn sich die tiefe männliche Stimme von Shane East an einer weiblichen versucht und Elizabeth Louise an einer männlichen. Mamchmal empfand ich dies eher nervig. Es bedarf doch einer Gewöhnungsphase.... Nichtsdestotrotz wurde ich als Hörerin emotional von beiden abgeholt. Beide haben ihre Aufgabe ausgezeichnet erfüllt. Es gilt zu berücksichtigen wie schwer es ist umgehend in andere Stimmlagen umzuschalten. Jap, ich hab's am Anfang versucht nachzuahmen und mir dann ins Bewusstsein geführt ,daß ich über den Stimmlagen Wechsel, so irritierend und nervig es von beiden Lesern manchmal auch war, die beiden einen hervorragenden Job gemacht haben. Ich wurde inhaltlich, von Anna Todd, und emotional von Elizabeth und Shane abgeholt. Die Aussprache war klar und deutlich, die Intonation für meinen Geschmack absolut getroffen. Beide haben eine wunderschöne Stimme denen ich gerne in der eigenen Geschlechterrolle 😜 zuhöre.

Leider ist die Spannbreite der Handlung sehr begrenzt und es wird mit voranschreitendem Hören auch nicht besser. Ich weiß nicht, wie viele etliche (Liebes-)Szenen ich vorgespult habe, weil ich mich nach inhaltlicher Entwicklung sehnte. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Habe das erste Buch gelesen, das zweite musste ich fast direkt abbrechen. Dieses hier hat wieder etwas mehr Plot, jedoch finde ich vor allem den männlichen Sprecher so furchtbar. Ich kann ihm kaum zuhören. sehr schade. Generell ist es auch in der After-Serie immer wieder das gleiche. Die ganze Eifersucht und die permanenten Sexszenen sind unerträglich. Mal schauen, ob ich dieses Buch auch noch abbreche.
