After their adventures on the high seas, Locke and Jean are brought back to earth with a thump. Jean is mourning the loss of his lover and Locke must live with the fallout of crossing the all-powerful magical assassins, the Bonds Magi.

It is a fallout that will pit both men against Locke's own long-lost love. Sabetha is Locke's childhood sweetheart, the love of Locke's life and now it is time for them to meet again. Employed on different sides of a vicious dispute between factions of the Bonds, Sabetha has just one goal - to destroy Locke for ever.

The Gentleman Bastard sequence has become a literary sensation in fantasy circles and now, with the third book, Scott Lynch is set to seal that success.©2013 Scott Lynch Epickie Fantasy Miejskie Paranormalne i miejskie

A very nice read, but somewhat lacking compared to the previous books. Its pace is considerably slower than in the previous installments, in particular when talking about the younger Locke. Still, the ending is intriguing and leaves the reader waiting for more.

Good, but...

The Republik der Diebe? (leichte spoiler)

I'm guessing anyone considering to buy this audiobook has listened to the previous two. In that case, I can only recommend this one.

Great Fun and a fantastic performance

Scott Lynch's books have their good and bad points, but they're never less than fun. Michael Paige's enthusiastic, characterful reading elevates the material and makes the recording a delight to listen to

Great reading of a servicable romp

not much to say here y I simply didn't enjoy the story as much in the third book. book 1 and 2's setting was more interesting too me , book 3 had too much romance for my tastes.

good book , I preferred book 1 and 2
