Wonderfully weird and true

It´s like having this wonderfully weird friend, who is an artist and whom you bump into in a coffeeshop or on the staircase every once in a while. And you like her, because she talks about all the things you cannot quite grasp, riddles and puns and arty art. Then you realize she is talking about things, that come into your own mind, in the waking hours before dawn for example, or just before you go to sleep, things which linger underneath the surface. And after meeting her a couple of times, all the tiny bits of conversation mold into a story about living and dying, time and eternity, about transformation and change, about the difference between communication and dialogue or rather the lack of dialogue, where pauses between words are more eloquent than the actual words.

Poetic and moving

This is a lovely story about the passing of time and what that means in someone's life, experiences and relationships. It's also about the ripples we might create in our life and others', without us knowing. It is beautifully written, almost meditative at times, yet easy to follow and understand.
The narrator does a great job of conveying all the different moods of the book and is truly a pleasure to listen to her.
I'll be looking for more titles from both this author and this reader!
