Not that great, but neither that bad
Not as great as the first or third one, but slightly better as the second one. Did not like how some events were told differently from the third title, and did not like how stuff that Desmond experienced in the game's story, in this book Ezio is the one that did (can't say which since I don't wanna give spoilers). The one thing that really touched me was the ending.
