Basil Bohen was asleep when the System arrived and the world changed....
Dungeons suddenly popped up across the planet, summoning invaders and monsters from alternate realities. Ancient gods slumbering beneath the Earth were woken. And all humans were empowered with Levels and Classes gained by, among other things, killing monsters and other humans.
Only a single instruction was provided by the System: “Whoever reaches Level 100 first shall become Earth’s new Overgod.”
So initiated a worldwide battle royale of epic proportions...which Basil would rather sit out. Choosing the [Tamer] profession, which allows him to speak with his cat, Plato, and other apocalyptic monsters, he'll adopt and train them to fight alongside him and defend his corner of the countryside.

good story, bad execution
the story is quite exciting, unfortunately the reader messes it up. he gives different voices to the different characters. actually a nice idea. unfortunately these voices are really annoying. in particular a too blatant Russian accent (for my taste) & a very shrill voice of a walking plant. I turned the book off after 6 hours because of those annoying voices.

Badass and grounded MC
I am very satisfied with the protagonist. He's not a whimp, an idiot or a perv. He's a grounded man who understands fast, has his limits but finds a way. The story is nice, I'm a little sad with a twist right around the end but it's not a bad thing, just different to something I was hoping for.
I like the characters and the humor a lot.

refreshing apocalypse story
It's nice to see someone creating a apocalypse litrpg with a different approach. Which is quite welcoming for the genre.
The only annoyance lies in the spokesmen, who does make quite weird pauses in his sentences.
Overall I'm looking forward to the second book

Creative story with a new angle to post apocalyptic LitRPG
Story: innovative angle, interesting. Looking forward to where book 2 will take us.
Narration: appreciated effort to change voices for various characters, but the narrator overdid it: some characters (in particular Rosemarie) are barely understandable - I literally cannot understand 40 % of what she says. The angel is also hard to understand, although not as bad. Pitty.

Started very good but....
I was really happy to find this book because i like Tamers.
But this high pitched voice from one of his pets destoyed the whole book.
I really tried to enjoy it but this pet got the most annoying voice i have ever heard.
At first i thought i could just ignore it but this pet is in nearly every scene of the book.
Really sad that i had to write this review but i have to warn everyone before buying this book.

Ganz okay!
Der Sprecher ist nicht so schlimm wie in den Rezensionen dargestellt, da hab ich hier schon schlimmerere gehört.
Die Story ist mal etwas anderes und wird ab 2/3 besser.
Mochte die Anspielung zu den anderen Büchern.

Interesting. Next chapter please.
Actually a good narrator, but a not so good female voice actor. Rosemary should tone done, a lot.
Otherwise no objections. Nice story, interesting development.
Sure, typical clichés are to be found, without looking, but the overall impression is well received.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

horrible

Bin nicht einmal bis zur Hälfte gekommen.
Zuviele in der Welt und dem System unlogische
