The story continues. Jep is still weak and manages it to become stronger and will against powerful enemies. The story is well balanced and promising.

a new system of xp-advancement is introduced, and it's much better storywise. Instead of mindless killing and domination, the hero needs to make deals & promises. much more captivating & engaging than the trial in the first book.
Funny slap-stick-moments, believable interactions & enemies or shady-characters, even a bit of character development of everyone (even the old crew),... much more entertaining than the previous book, awesome!

Dont get me wrong here, Book 1 was great. I just could not imagine how the plot could be built upon. Taking into account how book 1 started, book 2 exploded into an unexpected direction, increased in nuances and introduced more relatable characters setting the stage for boom 3.

Immenesly looking forward to it.

really liked the 2nd book in the series, if you liked the first one you will probably like this one too, altough it starts slower than the first one
