After struggling to confront his untouchable high school crush at her seventeenth birthday party, Jay adds another interest to his list—Dungeon Crawling in the face of the apocalypse.

Jay meets a divine creature who chooses him to become a Champion. Someone with a leveling System, stats, skills, access to other dimensions containing dungeons filled with supernatural loot, and magical powers that’ll alter reality as they know it.

Becoming a Champion comes with some issues. Global assassins want Jay and other Champions dead. Monsters are hungering to break out of their dungeons and raze Jay’s world. And Jay’s just one young guy trying to have fun with a Class that gets weirder as he evolves and masters his new gravity powers.

The writing has some issues with flow and continuity. Motivation of the characters is rather thin and some stuff seems to have been shoved in there without rhyme and reason.

I like this audiobook as much as the book series. The Story is fun and the reader is nice as well.
Funny contrast in voices compared to imagination from the books.

First off: the speaker really caught the vibe of the book > cool, teenage slangs; many different characters; the speaker really gave an amazing performance.

The story on the other hand had a heavy fixation on power/dominance/hierarchy topics, almost like a teenage-Highschool play, with weird conclusions & side-effects: the godling-girl obviously looks gorgeous, only dresses sexy, acts high & mighty and enjoys the attention of her puppy the freak, that kinda accepts his role as her lesser minion. But he himself has a voluntarily enslaved faery, that he made to call him master even before enslavement.
Every motive evolves around dominance and the fight for it, while the protagonists prevail (sometimes a little scarred to give the impression of suffering), all the enemies do not > in the end even for the simple reason that it just wasn’t their destiny.
No thanks.

That was a miss unfortunately. The premise is cool but the story is weirdly paced. The worldbuilding non-existent and the speaker sounds like a 12 yo teenager who desperately want to say “Woosh” and “Pow” during fight scenes. I wanted to like it, but just couldn’t
