Before I got wise, I would have tripped over myself to get a guy like Ren, but with my diagnosis, I've learned what I am to most people in my life - a problem, not a person. Now, opening my heart to anyone, no matter how sweet, is the last thing I'm prepared to do.

The description says nothing that Frankie has Arthritis.. I have Arthritis myself since I was a child. And how it was depicted here is my reality. The problem of guys to have a young girlfriend with an old womans body. The walls one builds to protect yourself from being hurt. Never have I encountered that sickness in fiction and never before have I recognized myself in a book character like this. I cried a lot
Ren was a bit to perfect. I mean incredible good looking and a heart of gold? He had no flaws and that was a bit over the top. But it was what Frankie needed. I hope I will meet a man with a heart like Ren
That book cut deep mostly because of Frankie for me

And I really couldn’t with the cringey petnames.

This book does not only talk about a love story between two independent and amazing people, it also talks about their hardship and difficulties they need to get through. I loved it and I can definitely recommend it. The only thing I did not completely like was the voice.

The second book from this series was also such a fun read! Great voices .
Again topics which I never read about in other books. Chloe shows again a love story with deep topics doesn’t has to be drama all over but still serious and so lovely!

I also loved this second book in the Bergman brothers series by Chloe Liese.
These two protagonists are once again unique and different but also relatable.
Both narrators did such an amazing job!!
Am already on the lookout for more written by Chloe Liese or narrated by CJ Bloom and/or Nelson Hobbs...

Nailed it once more

I came to this book after listening to the first in the series. And I don't know whether it is because both books have the same narrators, or if the author is incapable of creating new characters, but I don't really see a significant difference between the main characters of both books. Yes, the setting change from university to professional ice hockey, but the characters were still the same in their traits and behaviour. Simply said, it was lackluster. I finished it, only because I don't want to stop in the middle of a book.

Maybe if there is more time in between the consumption of the two books, the similarities aren't as stark. And if one is only looking for a fix on their romance book needs, sure, it's not a bad option for that.
