At first, I was skeptical, but I am very glad I pulled through because the story turned out to be much more than it seemed at first. There were many twists and turns and turns that I did not expect and that kept me on my toes. I liked the main character and was very happy so follow her journey and development throughout the story. This is the second book by Slatter I read, and I enjoyed both very much. When you simply look up the author though, it will only show you The Path of Thorns. Not sure why, but both are worth reading (listening to)!
