Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic.

The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want.

Am relevantesten
It takes the first hour to get used to and to connect to the characters after that it's fine. The lovey-dovey parts get stretched sometimes but don't overdo it. Still one oft the best audiobooks I had in the last months.

I usually don't dig female voiced audiobooks cause I learned I don't enjoy them as much. This one is a huge exception!

Eine schöne Geschichte mit einem happy end, spannend, wechselhaft und detailverliebt. Man konnte sich gut hineinversetzen und mitreißen lassen.

Well the story was great but after getting to the end and listening to the bloopers I was dieing of laughter.

The story is great, the characters are believable and the voice actor is awesome as always... But the bloopers are just next level good

The main protagonist is a blank slate. His hobbies are homework, jogging and waking up early. He can do no wrong and is super special. He has the very very special magic noone even knows about or heard of. In spite of any characteristics or opinions everyone loves him. Especially all the women want to be with him. No exceptions.
There is no tension and no world building.
I am not going to listen to the second one.

Before I fell asleep I was somewhat annoyed to listen to a lisping brute, when I woke up many chapters later and the distinguishing feature of another character was lisping and saw that the story did not really progress and the reason why I remembered the story was that there really was not much of a story in the first place, I did not go back to were sleep graciously detached me and instead tried and failed to cancel the purchase.
