Abandoned at a truck stop...with nothing....
Aden, a handsome young nurse, is destitute after his new boyfriend rumbles away in his semi with everything Aden owns in the back. He has no money, no clothes, and no car. Nothing. Maybe his boyfriend really didn't intend to take him to California to live happily ever after.

He has it all...but someone to share it with. The young man huddled at the side of the road needs help. And Dare is happy to provide assistance in reclaiming his belongings and offers his guesthouse to rent...and a job recommendation.
But someone is after Aden....
Someone terrifyingly determined wants to take him away from his happy life and the growing attraction between Aden and Dare. Soon, the sheriff's department, the FBI, Aden's mother, and two new dogs and cats are trying to protect Aden. Will it be enough to protect Aden and Dare from a madman?

Was hat Ihnen das Hörerlebnis von Aden besonders unterhaltsam gemacht?
After being kicked out by his bible-strong mother, Aden has become a hard working surgical nurse. He falls even harder into reality when his „boyfriend“ dumps him at a New Mexico truck stop with nothing. Dr. Dare Roake rescues the scared young man and falls instantly for him . But he reins in his attraction and instead offers Aden a place to stay and support with sorting out the mess his life has turned into. What first looks like a lovers`quarrel, soon turns into a full fledged federal crime investigation. Four months later the situation around Aden& Dare escalates with a mighty drug lord being after them.
Was war der interessanteste Aspekt der Handlung? Welcher der uninteressanteste?
A good start of the new series with likable characters, though the writing style needs some getting used to. The flow is often interrupted by thoughts of the MC s , bringing more confusion than explanations in addition to the many repetitions of words and whole phrases. The emphesis on the FBI&local law enforcement in the later part is obviously ment to introduce further potential pairings.
Welche Figur hat Jeff Griffin Ihrer Meinung nach am besten interpretiert?
Mr. Griffin does a terrific job giving each character a personal voice, brining them all „alive“ and making themselsves easily to distinguish for the listener. Dare gets a rougher voice, Sheriff Gomez an authetic accent. Still young, vulnerable Aden is absolutely realisticly portrayed. Mr. Griffin's masterpiece is the shooting showdown at the end, where almost all characters of the story are involved and the pace is fast!
Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?
„Aden“ may be light reading material with no real unexpected surprises and turns, but it is made into a very enjoyable listening experiencet thanks to Mr. Griffin's voice talent.
