Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Der Plot ist wie bei allen anderen Hornby-Novels sehr unterhaltsam, ohne gleichzeitig seicht zu sein. Der Sprecher hingegen ist unglaublich schlecht. Seine Interpretation der verschiedenen Figuren ist klischiert bis lächerlich, seine Erzählhaltung überaffektiert. Ging mir schon nach fünf Minuten auf den Senkel. Kein Vergleich zu den Sprechern von A Long Way Down (brilliant!).

Toller Roman, aber superschlechter Sprecher

Der Sprecher hat eine angenehme Stimme und kann diese passend für verschiedene Charaktere einsetzen. Die Geschichte ist ziemlich gut. In ihr wurden teils gute Sichtweisen für das Leben als auch etwas Humor verpackt. Die Spannung war jedoch nicht sehr hoch.
