In 2003, software engineer David Miller left his job, family, and friends to hike 2,172 miles of the Appalachian Trail. AWOL on the Appalachian Trail is Miller’s account of this thru-hike from Georgia to Maine. I love the details and the humour in the story of this marvellous journey. The voice actor manages to bring the emotions of the author back to life or at least I feel that way. Even on the second listening this audio book does not loose it's appeal.
