 An unique and intense tale following Elim Garak as he attempts to stitch the ravaged society of Cardassia back together.

What an amazing (audio) book! Not only from a Star Trek story telling perspective but also from a Cardassian perspective on human, well federation, life style.

DS9 was not only a milestone in TV history for introducing an elaborate plot, mindfully woven throughout 7 seasons, it was also well received for its outstanding smart written characters.
One very deep reflection of very human emotions, intellect and ambitions is the Cardassian Elim Garak portrayed by Andrew J. Robinson.
Revisiting this world through the lense of this philosophical cynic was a no brainer and if the book were a piece of garment
at least for me it’s a fit!

Wenn man nur ein Star Trek Buch lesen möchte, dann sollte es das sein. Eine vielschichtige Hintergrundgeschichte über den beliebtesten Schneider der Galaxis. Hervorragend geschrieben.

Doppelte Empfehlung für das Hörbuch, das vom Garak Darsteller und Autor des Romans gesprochen wird.

It's like Garak is talking to you himself, telling his story. Wonderfully performed, and the story itself is very good, too.

Transports you right back

While not canonical, I think this could be a perfect mini series for streaming tv.
There are several tense scenes and overarching plots, cathartic endings and the book almost seamlessly ties in to the tv show.
I was a fan of this character from his first appearance and relished Andrew Robinson's performance. That he also wrote this story is a testament to his commitment, talent and dedication to.
When I bought the book many years ago it was my first english book and a couple of years ago I got it signed by the author. I will cherish it forever. Thanks for producing this audiobook.

There was quite a bit of repetition from the tv show but on a lot of TV show stories was also expanded upon. I liked it a lot.
