Miss Gwendolyn Brinley accepted a temporary paid companion position for the Newport summer season, believing it would be a lark to spend the summer in America's most exclusive town. Wieder eine nette Geschichte von Jen Turano. Es mag jetzt vielleicht nicht die spannendste oder durchdachteste Story zu sein, zumal mir manchmal die Authentizität zum Zeitalter fehlt, aber ich glaube diesen Anspruch hat sie auch nicht. Sie war unterhaltsam und die Charaktere wie immer humorvoll-liebevoll ausgedacht. Eine super Story zum entspannten Hören. Die Botschaft, dass es auch okay ist einfach das Ziel der Mutterschaft im Leben zu haben, fand ich mal erfrischend, neben den ganzen emanzipatorischen Stories der aktuellen Autoren im christlich-amerikanischen Raum, die manchmal etwas ermüdend ähnlich und irgendwie unreflektiert sind.
