When a bunch of interstellar scavengers approach Earth intending to abduct a few dozen humans and sell them into slavery in the darkest, they make the mistake of picking on Steve Stuart and his friends, ex-military veterans all. Unprepared for humans who can actually fight, unaware of the true capabilities of their stolen starships, the scavengers rapidly lose control of the ship - and their lives.
To Steve the captured starship represents a great opportunity, one to establish a new civilization away from Earth and its increasingly oppressive bureaucracy. But with the aliens plotting their revenge and human factions suspicious of the new technology, it will be far from easy to create a whole new world....

Nutall does nut deliver a great story for me to listen to. Instead he really is writing a "Oh, what would i do when I was king?"-story about his own political views. He writes his view on a pre-Trump America and how he would do everything better. With exclusive access to highly advanced technology and unlimited resources - of course. This fanfic does not belong in the scifi-section. It belongs in the in "Listen to me, i'm Mary Sue* and i'm writing this story for me, not for you" section.
I listened to the whole thing, left me nothing but angry.
*if you didn't get the 'Mary Sue'-reference: wiki-search it for a minute, it's worth it.
As i see it, it's one of the worst mistakes a writer can seduce himself to make.
Speaker is doing his job okay though.
