I loved this book. The story is clever, sad and funny, told with the famous irish humour and wonderful irish turn of phrase.

I imagine for non native speakers some of the humour may be lost. My tipp, don't take some of the phrases too literally!!

Graham Norton is a brilliant narrator and I throughly enjoyed putting on my head phones and being taken on a journey starting in 60's Irland were laughter and the fear of scandal co-existed right up to the smartphone era.

My one negative...in the middle I got a bit bored and fast forwarded one chapter a little..... sorry Garham!

I would definitely recommend this book!

this is yet another great story written and told by the amazing Graham Norton. he's a master of words with a great eye for detail.

I can't help it, I enjoy listening to Graham Norton. He is great at nerrating.
And I like the persons in this novel. The story is good but a little bit predictable. All in all a solid story.

Who'd have thought Graham Norton can write such charming books? Have always loved his show and was very curious how he would tell a tale of a woman finding a new past and a new future. With his great sense of humour and sensitivity - and obviously, imagination - this is a perfect much, a real treat!

Das war der 3. Roman von Graham Norton den ich gehört habe, und ich war nicht enttäuscht. Ich mag Nortons Charaktere gerne, immer durchschnittlich, mittel gut gelaunt und unscheinbar und gerade deshalb die perfekten Helden. Und auch in dieser Familiengeschichte ein Twist, der zwar nicht völlig unerwartet kommt, aber trotzdem für eine schöne Spannung sorgt. Zu empfehlen!
