A gentleman's honor
At the Netherfield ball Elizabeth witnesses a shocking scene which causes the immediate departure of Mr. Darcy. But that's not the end of the story. The next day Elizabeth finds herself in great danger. She escapes at the last moment but she soon discovers that Mr. Darcy is the only person who might help and protect her. This gives her the opportunity to see the gentleman in another light and acknowledge that she may very well like him. Darcy on his part has never ceased loving Elizabeth. May they come to an understanding? And who caused all the trouble they find themselves in?
The story of the author Melanie Rachel was very well written and captivating. I was hardly able to put it down. I like stories where Darcy and Elizabeth are forced to work together to solve a problem/mystery. They are such a great team together. This was the case here, they have their best ideas when working together. The mystery they have to solve was captivating and I only figured it out with Darcy and Elizabeth together.
I like the way especially Darcy, Elizabeth and the Colonel were portrayed very much. You can feel the love with which they were written. They captured my heart ❤️.
There was one great villain in this story we have not seen before. He was really evil and I was glad when Elizabeth and Darcy were finally able to stop him/her. But you need not fear, Lady Catherine and Wickham have nevertheless their appearance and their say in the story 😉
The story was narrated by two narrates, Harry Frost and Elizabeth Grace. Both are excellent in their way. At the beginning it was a little unusual to have two narrators but in the end I liked it very much. Elizabeth Grace was the voice of all females whereas Harry Frost narrated the story and the male voices. Unfortunately there were some minor technical problems at the beginning, the voice of Elizabeth Grace was sometimes difficult to understand, especially in my car.
I hope that was not the last time that these two narrates work together, I like their way of narrating very much. Both voiced all the feelings that are in the book so awesome that the audiobook was even better than the book.
I highly recommend the audiobook.

Der Sprecher...
.... ist wirklich nicht mein Fall. Eine Elisabeth Grace alleine wäre mir lieber gewesen.
Die Geschichte selbst ist nicht total logisch, aber unterhaltsam und relativ low-angst zwischen Lizzy und Darcy.
Ein paar abweichende Charaktere, aber das ist ok, solange die zwei Hauptprotagonisten erkennbar sind.
