Halten Sie die Hörbuch-Ausgabe von A Game of Thrones für besser als das Buch?

Wenn es ein Buch ohne Dialoge wäre, wäre der Sprecher gut bis sehr gut zu bewerten.
Aber so? Die Stimmen der Personen, deren Charakter er eine "eigene" Stimme verleihen möchte, sind gruselig.
So hören sich fast ausnahmslos alle Frauen wie Krähen an, aber auch bei Männern bekommt er es nicht hin. Dadurch wirken viele Personen komisch bis unsympathisch.
Das ist das einzige was ich bei allen Folgen dieser Serie zu bemängeln habe.

Negativ, durch schleche Intonierung der Personen.

... But the narrator fails royally at pronouncing the names. It seems pretty obvious to me that GRRM just uses different spelling for usual names. It kinda bugs me how Petyr is pronounced pe-tyre (like in pyre) instead of just Peter.

Ich habe mir "A Game of Thrones" auf Englisch angehört. Teils, weil ich mein Sprachtalent fördern wollte, teils, weil ich neugierig war.Am Anfang fand ich Geschichte und Erzähler schwierig und hatte mir schon überlegt, dass dies wohl ein Fehlkauf gewesen ist. Weit gefehlt! Die Geschichte ist absolut spannend und in ihrer Tiefe sehr überzeugend. Ich höre das Hörbuch bei langen Autofahrten und ich bin seit dem froh, dass ich täglich über 2 Stunden im Fahrzeug verbringe.Ich kann Hörern, die die Tafelrunde, Herr der Ringe, Star Wars und ähnliches lieben, empfehlen. Ich bin schon verrückt auf die weiteren Teile!

Nachdem ich die Bücher gelesen hatte, wollte ich die Geschichte gleich noch einmal erleben und habe mir die Hörbücher gekauft. Ein großartiger Erzähler, der die Geschichte und die verschiedenen Figuren leben lässt! Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert! Leider wurde aber irgendwo ein bisschen gespart, denn die Formatierung ist furchtbar. Die Perspektiven wechseln nicht kapitelweise, sondern mittendrin.

Recently I prefer english books because I'd like to improve my english skills.
But when I heard the first few translations of the "a song of storm and fire" books (as for exemple 'Jon Schnee') it was even no business-decision anymore... This book is simply a masterpiece and the german translation is often really ridiculous so I quickly searched for the english version.

It is maybe not the best audio book for english learners that have not a mother tongue level or those who speak english rather good but want a audio book to listen to in the meantime, because you have to concentrate to follow the plot and to understand the relationship of all the numerous characters that act in these books.

But I admit I listen twice to certain chapters because I still don't get the point listening to the books in english :D

For all english speakers out there: I am really jealous :)
