this book is brilliant, it is so heartwarming to heat the struggles and how humble he is. I would recommend this book to everyone. it does make it even better than he read it himself. I am a big fan of his and now more than ever.

...und jemand der stimmungsvoll erklärt, wie es gemacht wird! Wer ein paar Shows oder Ausschnitte kennt, zudem noch etwas Talent hat, sich in British English reinzuhören, wird ein hervorragendes Erlebnis haben! Sehr lustig, aber auch gefühlvoll. Bitte mehr davon!

This is one of the best autobiographies I have ever read. Not only hilarious, but with so much respect for other people like his wife Kitty and Edison. Beyond that, it's the very personal story of his life, the rocky road and the embarrassing details of how he became a brilliant comedian. At times I had tears in my eyes.
I really enjoyed his reading and it made the whole autobiography even more personal.

The first book was more like a stage routine: hilarious but relatively superficial, as if he had told all the stories so often that the laughs were perfectly timed, but he could have told them in his sleep. This feels a little more vulnerable and thoughtful, with fewer routines in it, but he's a good enough writer that the pace is lively, you get invested and you want to know what will happen next. Will have to go back and listen to the dedication at the beginning as I have forgotten exactly what it was, but can already tell it will make me cry!
