Listen to the end, it's worth it!
It can be a bit frustrating to listen to the first part of the book where Harari describes many things that go wrong in the world. In the end, however, he takes a more optimistic perspective. I'm glad, I listened to the end.

Sharp analysis
Good insights and food for thought. The book remains one the surface of many things but it clearly is not intended as a deep analysis on one particular topic. The rest is up to the reader to make up their own mind and come to their own conclusions.

Much better than I expected from the title
I read this book 4 years after publishing date and I'm still very happy that I did it. All the statements done in 2018 looks still valid to me today. It is very well investigated and written with much knowledge in history, politics and philosophy.
I enjoyed the reading of the lecture. At the end the story made an unexpected turn. Why not...

Must-read about our responsibilty shaping future
It is a must read about thinking and acting responsible for our future. However I found the second half quite tedious because of the too extensive and repeating blaming of religions and nationalism.

Great philosophical text to reflect on
The first chapters are a bit depressing as the author paints a very dark world ahead of us, with all the possible futures. It is however important for us to reflect on those possible futures and how can we change. Overall it's a great book to discuss and think about the future of humanity.

Harari the genius
Must read! He deals with all common problems of our century and explains what he thinks lead to them and how they can be solved. Great conversation knowledge - well written!

Philosphische Betrachtungen gegenwärtiger Themen
Ein wirklich gelungener Text über aktuelle Herausforderungen von Menschheit und Gesellschaften der sehr eloquent geschrieben ist und immer wieder auch Argumente bringt aus Ecken der Xenophobie und diese dann diskutiert und aufzeigt warum diese nicht halten.
Manchmal hatte man aber das Gefühl er versucht etwas zu sehr zu verteidigen oder das Buch als Medium zu benutzen um an ihn herangetragene Kritik zu beantworten. Über die Rolle des Judentums braucht man wahrlich nicht soviele Worte zu verlieren. Das ist dann teilweise schon etwas zu viel des Abwägens und des Für und Widers.
