die Charaktere und deren Entwicklung herauszuarbeiten. Ich höre es zum 2. Mal. Es hat alles, was eine Dark Romance braucht, ohne die Sex-Szenen zum hundersten mal zu wiederholen. Es ist darker als dark. Der Blick in diese gebrochenen Seelen schmerzt. Drew ist ein bad boy, keine Frage, aber ich hegte relativ schnell Sympathie für ihn. Das Konzept der Liebe versteht er nicht, er zeigt nur seine besitzergreifende Besessenheit und seine Kontrollsucht. Belle reagiert darauf, aber wehrt sich dagegen und will ihn nicht in ihrem Leben.
Ich finde, JL Beck hat in diesem Roman gezeigt, dass sie beängstigende Tiefe erzeugen kann. Es ist absolut nicht flach.
