Alex und Dane hatten sich vor 10 Jahren schon einmal getroffen und verliebt aber Dane musste Alex seinerzeit aufgeben. Nun sind die beiden die Besten ihrer Disziplin und treffen sich im Schwimm-Team USA bei der Vorbereitung auf Olympia wieder. Die Funken fliegen und Gefühle brechen durch - zunächst eher destruktiv, im weiteren Verlauf wird es zum Glück besser.
Danes Eltern sind wirklich schwer zu ertragen und manipulieren ihn komplett ohne Skrupel. Man wundert sich, dass Dane dieses Spiel so lange mitgemacht hat und dass es so lange dauert, bis er seine Hackertalente mal sinnvoll einsetzt.
Aber am Ende gibt es ein Happy End - mindestens für Alex & Dane. Das Endziel Olympia wird tatsächlich nicht aufgelöst. Hier muss man schnellstmöglich die Fortsetzung "Medley" anhören, um Bas & Jacobs Story zu verfolgen.
