This madcap crew is the most fun. I am simply lovely the Jersey arrangement, having the whole crew under one roof provides endless opportunity for fun and shenanigans. With rambunctious children, an unruly, gigantic cat, dammit and 5 adults under one roof, things are bound to get messy. In this story that mess comes in the form of Sloane and Sully, on the road to divorce and now with one chance to get it right. A little forced proximity always does the trick. Watching Sully grovel, atone and learn is the most beautiful sight. These two have obvious chemistry (after 15 years of marriage, one would hope that is true) but also genuine love. If only they can get out of their own way and realize the changes they each need to make in their life and their expectations. I do believe Arthur was onto something with the family trust situation. It’s easy to miss the obvious in the hustle of city life, being forced together and away from their comforts helps all of this ragtag family put their priorities in line. This story is fun, and sexy and everything in between.

I adored Connor Crais’ accent work in this story. Sully was exactly the suave, tight laced Brit you’d expect. Him wooing Sloan is enough to start an inferno. But equally as compelling was his sensitivity and adoration. He truly became the character. CJ Bloom was perfect as no-nonsense Sloan. Kind and sweet while still being firm and a little stern. Seeing her playful side come out with Lola is where she truly shines. You can’t help but want to be a part of this little family. The chemistry between Sloan and Sully shines through their performance and the whole thing was just the sweetest listening experience.
