Absent Witness brought Karl Petry’s unusual story to the literary world. In this second volume, Karl delves further into his roots as a young man growing up in 1960s Newark, New Jersey. Karl recounts episodes from his childhood and coming of age in a working-class community – experiences that shaped his outlook and honed his innate psychic talents.Karl was born with the ability to see and communicate with the dead, experience visions of the past in everyday surroundings, and help people who want to know the fate of loved ones, find lost valuables, or simply understand why they are haunted. In Somewhere the Dead Are Singing, Karl writes of his more unusual cases. You’ll read of how he helped clear a haunted property for a man whose departed father refused to leave. Be there as he stands face to face with a ghost at a social club. He tells of his time travel experiences, slipping in and out of the distant past of Cape May, New Jersey, Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and even in his own neighborhood, where he attends a burial that happened over a hundred years earlier.Karl believes strongly in living a balanced life. He is an unassuming person who doesn’t flaunt his visions or abilities. Karl cautions fellow experiencers about the dangers of becoming too strongly immersed in the psychic and paranormal realms. Karl stresses the importance of having earthbound interests and activities to keep the gifted anchored in their reality.©2021 Karl Petry (P)2021 Karl Petry
