Monster stuff is weird to me and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I will die on that hill. THIS monster stuff?? Give me all of it and more. I will read this again, maybe a third time, before the year is up.

Ich war beim ersten Teil schon nicht ganz überzeugt, aber der 2. Teil war nichts für mich. Die Sache mit dem Bruder fand ich schwierig und das "Trial" auch. Und die ganze Geschichte mit Leo und Evelyn war super anstrengend. Das hätte Tem mit einem Gespräch relativ am Anfang erledigen können.
Und dann kam noch das Ende dazu ...

While I enjoyed the first book, this sequel was a total let down. Temperance was always a bit naive, but her selfless act in the first book turned into something frustrating and eye roll worthy in this book. She would say/think one thing and do something completely opposite of it. Between none remarkable smut, Leo's spineless inaction and Caspin's constant MIA throughout the book, the ending did us - the fans - dirty. I'm really disappointed, expecting a different outcome.
