This storyline hooked me from chapter one! I couldn’t stop. I liked the slow build up and the way this book is written.

Abby Craden does a fantastic Job! You know who is talking just by the different voices she is using. Following the storyline is absolutely effortless.

The story was a bit too clichée at times but over all I enjoyed listening. Abby Craden does a great job with the voices, but the young child as one of the main characters was annoying most of the time. Also the mother in law was more like a charicatur.

I enjoyed the slow-burn and the love scenes were few but steamy.

Ich war ein wenig besorgt, dass das Traurige, immerhin haben alle drei Hauptcharaktere einen unglaublich schweren Verlust erlitten, überwiegen und das Buch beschweren würde. Diese Sorge war unbegründet. Gerri Hill versteht es, dieses Thema mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl zu bearbeiten, ohne dass es die Stimmung drückt. Meisterhaft!
Wir bekommen hier eine wundervolle Liebesgeschichte erzählt, die einen aufheitert, und hoffnungsvoll und leicht zurücklässt.
Natürlich hat die Vorlesegöttin Abby Craden einen riesigen Anteil daran. Ich suche meine Hörbücher inzwischen zu einem großen Teil danach aus, ob sie vorliest. Yes, she is that good!!!
Ein rundum empfehlenswertes Buch, allein schon die Beschreibung der Natur… ❤️
