Having ascended to the prestigious role of High Priestess of Philosophia Naturalis, Kadia Greene faces challenges that push her to her limits.
Tasked with restoring ancient teachings and gathering followers, she embarks on a perilous journey with her friends. As they traverse dangerous terrains and navigate political intrigue, cities are forsaken, mountains are set ablaze, and temples are constructed on secluded peaks.
Yet, amid her feats, Kadia grapples with a deteriorating mental state, often losing track of time, reality, and even her own identity. As her internal struggle intensifies, she must balance preserving her sanity with her responsibilities to her disciples, her guild, and ultimately, herself.

I'll just keep it short...
Er is een fout opgetreden. Probeer het over een paar minuten opnieuw.
It is strongly separated from everything happening in the first book. Only 2 times we hear of the real world and her brother and the Gild only play side roles. Instead we focus on Kadia, Alchemy and Transmutation and most notably the Religion.
I really like the way her relationship with Tris is portrayed and how it’s developing and how she deals with the whole „High-Priestess“ thing.
While it can be a little stale at times, the focus often changes and brings new Parts like her mental struggle to keep it interesting.
Overall I really loved Kadia as a Protagonist and the realistic and complex worldbuilding especially when it comes to religion.
Interesting Slice-of-live in a Fantasy-setting
