The Devil and Max Largent: A novel of Humor, Hope and Heart. Are second chances real, or does the Universe just have a wicked sense of humor?
Meet Max, a free spirit and his only family, a floppy-eared German Shepherd, Rhett. Then imagine facing a double whammy: stage 4 brain cancer and a visit from an irate Devil. What would you do if the Devil demanded you write a book using your life as an example of why our world is descending into hell on earth, threatening his relevance?
Max reluctantly agrees, desperate to save his soul. But here's the real twist—his biggest concern isn't his illness. It's whether he'll be able to have time to find a good home for Rhett. As he maps out what may be his final journey to find peace on the beaches of Hawaii there's one more revelation waiting: Max discovers he has a surprise daughter who wants answers, now. Buckle up for a roller-coaster ride of laughs and tears that will make you sit up and pay attention.
