Julius Caesar
The Commentaries by Julius Caesar contains eight books on the Gallic War in addition to all three books on the Civil War. Brilliantly translated, these commentaries provide an account of the many extraordinary events of these wars, brought to life by the words of Julius Caesar himself. If you have ever wondered about the events and thoughts that shaped the mind of Caesar, these commentaries will provide you with that insight.
Caesar was considered to be a prolific writer, even during his own time. He had a masterful talent with language and provides a path into the thoughts of the notorious ruler's life. This historic document gives us a glimpse into the battles that crushed entire populations and secured Caesar's place in history. The Commentaries by Julius Caesar is perfect for those who love history and want to experience it from an insider's perspective.
