Being alive for millions of years means I'm rarely surprised.
In the long expanse of my existence, I've been rescuing fossils for only a breath. During that time, my path has crossed with many different people—shifter and human alike. Some friendly, some nefarious.
A hundred years ago, one such man graced me with his presence. He was one of the few to have almost killed me.
Imagine my surprise when I see him again, buying the rarest amber fossil to have ever been discovered.
Precious. Beautiful. Unique. A true treasure millions of years in the making.
I won't let him get away again.
Contains mature themes.

I dnfed another book because it didn't catch me and went back to the dinosaurs because I knew I would not be disappointed here. And again I really like how the storyline was done. After the prolog I needed a moment to figure out who is who and to whom I'm listening now but I think that was exactly the point. And the epilog is very bittersweet, too.
The trouble in Shanghai and the new dinosaurs introduced where really fantastic, but the candy really turned me on. You gonna see why.
The narrator did a great job. I always knew who spoke and the teasing was so well done.
*little spoiler*
Yu is described as to softhearted, falling to hard in love and tells that because the humans have shorter livespan that's his reason to love them even harder. And I think that's beautiful.
I also love how Lance finds something in himself he didn't think was there.
I complained that problems where not really solved in the last book and that is now better done.
I hope there will be more audiobooks in this series or from the author available soon, because I don't know what the hell I would do if not.
I have a candy crush!
Er is een fout opgetreden. Probeer het over een paar minuten opnieuw.
If there’s only a story when all the participants act like teenagers in a Horror movie, taking no precautions whatsoever than the story is not very entertaining at all.
Lance makes one stupid decision after another, I hope the next book is better.
OMG Lance acts like somebody in a B Horror Movie…
