Nell Gallows is the sole survivor of an elite dark forces squad, Riøt, after a detrimental attack two years ago.

very heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster

The story lacks complexity and depth. It started off well and was even exciting until the middle. But after that, it no longer feels realistic, there is no character development, and the plot becomes increasingly unrealistic and contrived, raising more questions than I would like. There could have been more potential here, but the story jumps and picks up speed—it feels as if the story was tailored to fit the sex scenes. I don't understand the hype. There are currently other books that are similar but still manage to be realistic and make more sense until the end. Nevertheless it wasn't a waste of money and it was somehow okay....

I loved everything about this book! The voices from the narrators fit perfectly, will listen to it again

I’ll never understand why, when you have such great narrators, you’d choose dual narration instead of letting them tell the story as a duet. It completely breaks the immersion every time the female narrator tries to sound as masculine as the male narrator naturally does, and vice versa. Such a shame. Just another missed opportunity for an otherwise really nice and interesting story.

This story is so dark and tragic it made my heart feel heavy as stone but it‘s mixed with the perfect amount of love and spice to make it bearable.
