The performance of both narrators is good, they relate the inner monologues well.

The story is a somewhat original take on a sports romance, and worth the listen as such. Yet the story is distinctly lacking in spark. It moves along like the little engine that could but without any highs or lows. That's mostly due to the overdone inner monologues and comedic dialogues.

Nothing really wrong with it, just meh.

Die Sprecher sind okay, aber besonders er hetzt ziemlich durch. Die Story ist eigentlich eher langweilig, die Figuren nicht sehr interessant oder tiefgründig. Alles in Allem eher langweilig, aber wenn man was als Lückenfüller sucht und sich nicht zu 100% konzentrieren will in Ordnung.

Speaker: I often hesitate with this male narrator. I don’t really connect with how he narrates the female perspective.

Story: I like the inner monologues and the dual perspective. Until the end, I didn’t really understand the way his appearance was portrayed. But to be honest, maybe that’s because it’s actually quite realistic compared to what we see in today’s media. The story itself isn’t very deep. Like others have already said – it’s a good filler read if you’re not expecting too much and just want something light in between.

The first book I stumbled upon, that deals with a player that is not the most physically attractive of the bunch. Also how they meet is a nice new take. Recommended!!!

I mean the language is sooo bad. I couldn't go through it.
I dnfed it at the point where they are getting hot and heavy and she drops smthg like that ?!?! I mean really ? turned me right off
